Yes. Obelisk is a player — it doesn't provide any TV content itself. You need an existing IPTV subscription from a provider that gives you Xtream Codes credentials or an M3U playlist URL. Obelisk then plays that content on your Apple devices.
Xtream Codes is an API that many IPTV providers use. It gives you a server URL, username, and password. M3U is a playlist file format — your provider gives you a direct URL to a .m3u file. Both are supported in Obelisk.

Yes. Your credentials are stored locally on your device using the iOS Keychain — the same secure storage Apple uses for passwords. They are never sent to our servers. The QR Connect pairing session uses an ephemeral encrypted session that expires after 10 minutes and is deleted immediately after use.
If your provider gives you Xtream Codes credentials or an M3U URL, Obelisk will work. Most IPTV providers support at least one of these formats. If you're unsure, contact your provider and ask for their Xtream Codes panel URL, username, and password.
